Makenzi Bohan is the founder of Blackout Support Co., an independent music industry business focused on making the nitty gritty side of touring, bookings and artist support more accessible.

Alongside her Monday-to-Friday role as a complex case manager, Makenzi brings over a decade of hands-on experience across tour  support, artist bookings, merchandise, and overall assistance with any operations that she can get her hands on. 

From selling merch at high-volume shows to supporting artists and helping artists with any operational assistance they may need, she’s developed an understanding of what makes a valuable team member in the music industry. Her live music experience spans bills and touring environments featuring artists including Architects, I Prevail, Alt., Parkway Drive, Holding Absence, David Talley (Amigo The Devil), Skindred, Kingdom of Giants, Stepson, 360, and PEZ among many others.

As an independent business itself, BSC is built on the belief that supporting other independents matters. Beyond working directly with artists and other industry weapons, BSC aims to create space where other independent industry professionals can gain exposure and connect with the right opportunities.

 She’s currently expanding into Canada and North America, and is available to work with artists and individuals across Australia, North America, Canada and the UK/Europe.

She is known as someone who is organised, transparent and properly supportive. She has a “no bullshit” approach to everything she does, and is heavy on ensuring that there is no gatekeeping or unnecessary hurdles when helping people.
